Massage stations for conferences and trade fairs: how they work and why they draw people in

At a conference or trade fair, everyone is competing for attendees' attention: stands, talks, giveaways, screens. Few things make people stop the way an offer of real rest does. That is why massage stations have become one of the most appreciated services at professional events.
In this guide I explain how a massage station works, where it fits best, how many people it can serve and how to brand it for a sponsor or exhibitor.
What is a massage station?
It is a small wellbeing area set up within the event: an ergonomic massage chair, a therapist and, if you wish, the branding of the organiser, a sponsor or an exhibitor. Attendees enjoy an express massage of the neck, shoulders and back, fully clothed and with no oils, and return to the event feeling refreshed.
We set up the wellbeing area at the Beyond Boundaries Global Festival 2026, at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, over two full days of chair massages for speakers and attendees.
Where it fits best
- As an attendee rest area. A pause between sessions that attendees and speakers value, especially at multi-day events.
- As a sponsored space. A wellbeing area carrying the sponsor's brand, with QR bookings that help them capture leads.
- At an exhibitor's stand. A reason for visitors to stop, wait a few minutes and talk to the team, which is exactly what you go to a trade fair for.
- At social events. Cocktails, rooftops or closing dinners, with express sessions between conversations or hand massages in the lounge area.
How it works
- Express sessions of 5 to 7 minutes, designed to serve as many people as possible.
- Capacity: about 30 people per station in 4 hours. For more than 60 attendees or several sponsors, we recommend two stations.
- QR booking: attendees book their slot from a page with the client's branding, so there are no queues.
- Zero hassle for the organiser: we handle set-up, single-use hygiene supplies, bookings and take-down.
- Space required: about 2 × 2 metres per station, ideally sheltered and well lit for evening or terrace events.
Branding the station
There are two levels of branding:
- Brand integration (included): the client provides their materials (roll-ups, displays, photocall) and we integrate them into the station.
- Full branding (with 4 weeks' notice): a roll-up designed and produced by us with the client's logo and branded face-cradle covers, visible in every session and in event photos. Reusable across several events.
Prices
- Massage station: from €90 per hour per station (from €360 for a 4-hour event with one station).
- Full branding: from €190 per station.
- Events outside Barcelona: on request.
All prices exclude VAT. For agencies, we work with commissionable retail prices. You can download our agency dossier.
